Highly Branched Cyclin Dextrin (HBCD) SIMPLIFIED

The new super carb these days in the supplement market is Highly Branched Cyclin Dextrin (HBCD). So many people try to over think it’s usage, but I’m going to break it down SIMPLY for you all, so that you can get the idea of its purpose easier.

The main purpose for HBCB is to drive nutrients into your system at super fast speeds (rates will vary from person to person), compared to normal absorption rates.

Here is how HBCD works…

So, the whole reason for HBCD is to speed up recovery, so that the body can be fully recovered at all times. If an individual consumes HBCD pre-workout with all their BCAAs, proteins, glutamine, etc then they will be fully recovered and hydrated, and the muscle cells will be in a full anabolic state before they even train. If an individual consumes it Intra-workout, then the body will be stable, recovering consistently during training, fully hydrated, and also still in a anabolic state. The whole purpose really of the product is to shuttle all the main nutrients into the blood stream within minutes. Don’t use HBCD as a main carbohydrate source, but use it as a shuttle to push all your other nutrients into your system, to give it that “insulin-like” effect.

Intra-Workout
25g (50g+ for advanced individuals) Highly Branched Cyclin Dextrin
10g L-Glutamine
5g Creatine
20g BCAAs
5g Leucine


FOR ADVANCED USERS ONLY 

INSULIN USERS

Pre-Training
4-7iu Humalog Insulin (10-15min preworkout)

Intra-Workout
30g Highly Branched Cyclin Dextrin
40g Dextrose
10g L-Glutamine
5g Creatine
20g BCAAs
5g Leucine
*70g carbs total. 10-15g per IU of insulin

Post-Training
4-7iu Humalog Insulin

Post-Workout (10min post injection)
40g Highly Branched Cyclin Dextrin
30g Dextrose
10g L-Glutamine
5g Creatine
20g BCAAs
5g Leucine
*70g carbs total. 10-15g per IU of insulin

20min After Above
50-60g Whey Isolate

60min Later
Have a whole food meal with atleast 60g carbs.

So as you can see, there really isn’t too much to try and understand. This compound has been a solid nutrient delivery method, and has been giving great results in recent years.
